What We Believe

What We Believe About God
We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three distinct Persons: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. We believe that they are equal in power and glory and that this triune God upholds and governs all things. He has revealed Himself in the Bible in these ways:

As the Father – He is the All Loving, All Knowing, All Present, Almighty Creator of all things. He is a loving and merciful God. He truly loves and concerns Himself with mankind whom He created. That He hears and answers our prayers and saves from sin and death all who come to Him through His Son Jesus.

As the Son Jesus – He is God come to Earth in the form of man. He lived a physical and real life here as we do. He was tempted in every way as we are and yet remained sinless. He was manifest here through a virgin birth via the Holy Spirit and He is the only begotten Son of God. He went to the cross and died a substitutionary and atoning death for our sins and rose again on the third day. These acts brought ultimate victory over sin and death. He has ascended back to heaven and will physically and visibly return. He is our Savior and it is only through faith in Him that a person can have a relationship with God and be assured of Eternal Life.

As the Holy Spirit – He is the Spirit of the Living God who lives with us in this world and dwells in all those who have been Born Again. He is the Spirit of Truth, the Comforter, the Counselor who leads us and guides us into all Truth and Righteousness if we open our lives to Him. He exalts Jesus Christ as Lord, empowers believers to live a Christian life, and to be witnesses of the Gospel of Peace. He also grants us spiritual gifts. blessings, and abilities to that end.
What We Believe About the Bible
The Bible is the written Word of God. It is the inspired, inerrant (without error) Word of God. It is relevant and timeless and it is Truth. It is the first authority for our life and faith in Jesus. It reveals the nature and heart of God. That it should be studied and taught.
What We Believe About Spiritual Gifts.
We believe all the spiritual gifts mentioned in the New Testament are available for the church today and are made manifest for His glory and honor and not our own. That there is order and purpose to those giftings and they should be exercised in line with the Word of God and not contradictory to it. That they should be sought after and desired for the use of bringing glory and honor to God, and building up and edifying the church.
What We Believe About the Church
We believe in the universal church of Jesus the Messiah, which is compromised of all believers and is the living body of Jesus on earth, and that He is the head over it. There are many differing members and parts of this body of Born Again believers and we all have our place and function within the body. That the church is to celebrate communion and is to water baptize (full immersion) all those who believe. That the church should be community minded and oriented rather than being isolated and separate within some building. That we are here to impact the community for Jesus and shine His light and love.
What We Believe About End Times
We believe in the Pre-tribulational Rapture of the church. That we will be caught up with Jesus in the air, prior to the beginning of the Tribulation Period. We believe in a literal 7-year Tribulation and at the end of those 7 years, Jesus will come physically again to the earth and set up His Millennial Kingdom. We believe after the Millennial Kingdom there will be final judgment of all men to everlasting life or everlasting death. We believe in a literal Heaven and a literal Hell.
What We Believe About the State of Man
We believe all have sinned and all fall short of the glory of God. That we are sinful by nature and in need of a Savior. That this sin separates us from a righteous and holy God. That we are saved by faith in Jesus and the atoning work that was done by Him at the cross. We believe that it is by grace we are saved, through faith, and not of works. We believe there is nothing we can do to save ourselves, but this saving grace was a gift given to us by the Father, through the Son, by the power of the Holy Spirit and it is received by faith. We believe when we do accept this gift that a regeneration occurs via the Holy Spirit and we become new creations in Christ and that we are born again by the Holy Spirit and experience a spiritual rebirth. We believe the fruit of this new life is love and a changed life. We believe that this gift of salvation is open and available to all mankind and birthed out of God’s great love for us. That there will be a bodily resurrection and judgment of all mankind; some given to eternal life and some to eternal damnation.
